In the last few weeks, I switched between Fitbit Charge 3 and Fitbit Versa to participate in the company's Sleep Score Beta. The beta version was opened for registration in December, but is fast-filled and currently closed for re-registrations. CNET Every morning after syncing my Fitbit with the Fitbit app on my phone I would visit the Sleep Score beta website, which was expected to raise a number of questions. I was asked to estimate my mood in the morning, how much energy I had when I woke up and to say if I had alcohol or caffeine or trained before falling asleep. Extended questions were asked, which included more details about the training habits of the previous day. After answering the questions, you will be shown the various metrics measured by the Sleep Score Beta.

Sleep quality is rated on a scale of 0 to 100, with 90 rated as "excellent" and everything under 60 as "bad". This is the most prominent section of the beta page for the sleep score. He uses multiple data points to provide a score.

The first two are similar to what users currently see in the Fitbit app. You compare your sleep goal to what you actually slept with and compare deep and REM sleep with what people of your age and sex should strive for.

Revitalization is a new category that takes into account all respiratory disorders and compares your daily heart rate with your sleeping heart rate. Fitbit has not clearly stated that the SpO2 sensor is used to evaluate the revitalization range, but the amount of oxygen being measured in the blood is the best Fitbit method available to measure respiratory disorders. Interpretation of Results One of the more interesting aspects of the Sleep Score Beta is that the Fitbit must be worn throughout the day for the revitalization value to be accurate. Otherwise, there will be no heart rate or SpO2 data during the day that can be compared to your sleep data. On days when I forgot to put on my Fitbit after getting ready in the morning or left on the charger for a long time, my revitalization rating was noticeably worse than when I had the Fitbit. Another disadvantage of the beta version in its current state is that you can only view the last seven days of sleep scores. There is no way to indicate long-term sleep habits in order to try to identify habits or trends. I've found it useful to get a score every morning, with the ability to break the various metrics gathered by Fitbit. I can not wait to see what Fitbit is doing with the finalized version of Sleep Score and what actionable suggestions can be taken from long-term trends.
